1. First and foremost, the new software is compatible with Windows 8. General drivers are supported.
2. The new Outpost already knows how to block infected Metro apps in Windows 8
3. Outpost 7.6 improves performance with torrent clients, eliminating occasional zero connections, slow-downs and freezes
4. Attack Detection issues were fixed in the new version, reaction logic in case of multiple attackers was improved
5. BSODs caused by network applications operation in fast networks were fixed
6. Blocking and freezing issues caused by the content filtering mechanism were fixed
7. Outpost Security Suite and Outpost Antivirus Pro 7.6 extended their capabilities of suspicious files detection and sending them over for analysis
8. Processing of IPv6 addresses was improved
9. Outpost Suite and the standalone firewall provide ICMPv6 support in firewall rules names
10. Logs were moved from the product folder into the common Application Data folder
11. Low-level rules priority issues were fixed
12. Blockpost module operation in suspended protection mode was improved for Outpost Security Suite and Outpost Firewall.

Outpost Pro 8 is fully compatible with Windows 8
Totally reworked, even more intuitive user interface

The new GUI is not just a pretty face but a usability-driven system of controls which makes Outpost protection transparent and easily configurable. A number of tweaks have been made based on valuable customer feedback and best practice user experience guidelines. New features include:

-Easy-to-view protection status with instant access to updates and license information
-Reorganized malware scan menu with optimally placed options
-Visually reinforced navigation through the product menus — with repeated function/feature headings to ensure users always take the correct path
-Enable or disable protection modules accessible in just one click from within the revamped Setup menu
-The Tools menu now incorporates Event viewer, Quarantine, Network activity, Ports used, Process activity, File and Registry monitor, Attacks blocked and Submit file for analysis — for convenienthandling of suspect items — all under the same roof
-All essential logs can now be found under a single tab. Detailed sub-logs are available in a drop-down menu (see Event viewer screen below)
-The revamped Help and Support menu provides links to existing guidelines (Agnitum’s Knowledge base) as well as a user-generated Outpost User Forum and online test-your-PC service. The tab also facilitates interaction with customer service
-The Entertainment mode is activated automatically (along with Auto-learn mode) so the user can enjoy uninterrupted game and movie sessions without having to think about security

Extended HIPS in Outpost 64-bit

While most antivirus vendors tend to overlook 64-bit security, as was explicitly demonstrated in the recent Matousec.com tests among other industry commentators, Agnitum goes the extra mile for 64-bit system users and delivers protection tailored for their needs.
