Tak wiem...ale wersja do pobrania działa tylko na Vista i W7. Niestety nie zobaczę nowej wersji testowej

Nawet jeśli to tylko nakładka, to w przypadku gdy będzie leciutka bardzo ułatwi pracę z firewallem systemowym

Nie sądzę, żeby to była zapora mająca coś wspólnego z dawnymi zaporami Tiny...wygląda jakby nieco podszywali się pod starą nazwę (w adresie strony widać chyba lokalizację na Węgrzech?), choć mogę się mylić. Zapora Tiny to kiedyś była normalna, samodzielna zapora. W ogóle to jest trochę zamieszania z zaporami o nazwach "Tiny Firewall"i "Tiny Personal Firewall"i ich numeracjami...sam się na to natknąłem, kiedy próbowałem, dojść "które Tiny jest które i dlaczego". Jeszcze w 2000 r. został wydany pierwszyTiny Personal Firewall, a w 2002 prawa do tego programu w wersji 2 kupiło Kerio...zapora Kerio 2.1jest właśnie sukcesorem zapory Tiny (nota bene wersja 2.1.5 to ostatnia darmowa wersja tej świetnej, klasycznej zapory). Oryginalny Tiny i Tiny WinRout, na którym TPF była oparta, były rozwijane dalej już przez Kerio.
Niemniej firma Tiny Software zrobiła woltę i pod koniec 2004 r. wypuściła swoją własną zaporę"Tiny Firewall"od razu w wersji 6.xxprzy czym był to już zupełnie inny produkt, nie mający nic wspólnego ze starą zaporą Tiny. Ta nowa zapora od stycznia 2005 przemianowana została na "Tiny Personal Firewall 2005" . To nie koniec jednak zagmatwanych losów zapory Tiny...kilka miesięcy po premierze nowej wersji firmę Tiny przejął inny producent zabezpieczeń - CA (Computer Associates), który swoje następne produkty opiera o technologię kupionej zapory Tiny - nazwijmy ją "bis" - i WinRoute "bis" i promował je adnotacją w przypadku CA Personal Firewall 2007 adnotacją "Now based on Tiny Software® technology, widely regarded as best-of-breed firewall software protection."

dwa dni zaledwie minęły, od kiedy twórca zapory zaanonsował prośbę o udział w testach swojego nowego projektu, a już dziś zapowiedział nową wersję beta. Poniżej pełny anons

Upgrade notes from Beta1:

Save your work first because this will reboot your machine, but fortunately, starting from the new Beta2 a reboot upon uninstall will NOT be required any more.

Zapora jest młodziutka, ale budzi ogromne nadzieje, ponieważ to jedna z niewielu czystych klasycznych zapór w tej chwili rozwijanych i to bardzo dynamicznie...inne projekty, o których mi wiadomo raczej są "uśpione". Autor prowadzi żywą dyskusję, wyjaśnia wszelkie wątpliwości, przyjmuje krytyczne uwagi i jak widać szybko na to wszystko reaguje wprowadzając kolejne poprawki. Dla użytkowników WinXP niestety zła wiadomość...dla mnie również...zapora nie obsługuje tego systemu i nie ma takich planów - wspierane są tylko Vista i W7.Aha...póki co obecne wersje nie zapisują niestety ustawień, więc po każdej nowej instalacji trzeba wszystko robić od nowa...kolejna wersja ma to naprawić.

You will lose your settings when upgrading to Beta3, this was unavoidable as the database format for the settings has changed. However, future updates should preserve your settings (unless I break the database format again, but I''ll try to avoid that).

You have been really helpfull all along, even without telling me what bugs you or what requests you have, I can see where to improve just by listening to your questions. Zainstalowałem program na Win Vista. TinyWall to nakładka na firewall systemowy. Przy próbie wyłączenia usługi Zapora systemu Windows pokazuje się info, że jednocześnie zostanie wyłączona usługa TinyWall. To wyjaśnia mały rozmiar pliku instalacyjnego.
Zaraz postaram się wrzucic parę screenów.

Program jak na razie nie za bardzo chce działac. Usługa jest uruchomiona ale podczas próby ustawienia jakiegokolwiek trybu działania pokazuje się tylko komunikat ''TinyWall Failed''. Interfejs jest też trochę powolny.
Może kolejna beta to poprawi.

Zainstalowałem, firewall rzeczywiście Tiny
Nie wiem czy to coś u mnie, ale alerty nie są wyświetlane (interaktywne akcje) trzeba dodawaćręcznie reguły (pochodzę z epoki firewalli pytających
)A tak pozatym to lekki, prosty, dla doświadczonych i niewymagających powinien być odpowiedni jako czysta zapora.

Faktycznie nie jest to coś szczególnie rozbudowanego, ale w sumie jak przyjrzeć się klasycznym zaporom, to żadna jakoś specjalnie "wybujała" nie jest. Można się tylko spodziewać, że program naprawdę będzie się prężnie rozwijał jak dotychczas i że naprawdę będzie stanowić konkurencję dla chyba teraz jedynej podobnej zapory czy "L''n''S...żadne chyba inne "nakładki" nie są tak rozbudowane jak Tiny.

Co do zapory, to jak pisałem wyżej nawet w przypadku swej "nakładkowości" jest ciekawym rozwiązaniem do konfiguracji firewalla windowsowego
Choć początkowo miałem nadzieję, że będzie ona godnym następcą rewelacyjnego Kerio Personal Firewall 2

To właśnie Kerio 2 był następcą Tiny...tyle, że tego innego "starego"

To właśnie Kerio 2 był następcą Tiny...tyle, że tego innego "starego"
Z tym pierwszym Tiny nie miałem do czynienia niestety. Za to w pamięć wrył mi się właśnie Kerio w wersji 2

Wybaczcie, że cytuję siebie samego ale jeśli chodzi o działanie aplikacji, to beta 4 właściwie niczego nie poprawia.
